Area: 1,972,550 Km2 (761,606 sq mi), slightly less than three times the size of the state of Texas. It is the world’s 15th largest country.

  • Guatemala (South-East) with a border of 962 kms

Climate: Varies from tropical in the south to desert in the north. Divided by the Tropic of Cancer.

Religions: Roman Catholic 77%, Protestant 6%

Languages: Spanish is the official language. A variety of regional indigenous languages are also spoken by 6.5% of population.
