Caroline Vérut CEO, TEAM LEADER


Caroline’s theoretical and practical skills range from finance, accounting and credit analysis, economics, marketing, research to in-depth interviewing. Combining these skills with her knowledge of government agencies, international organizations and private firms, her language capabilities in Spanish, English, French and German, make her ideally suited to provide the services required by foreign firms wishing to explore the large diversity of Mexican markets. She also offers a solid trade development and promotion background, vast experience in the organization of trade missions and seminars, trade show participation, market research, business facilitation and counseling and business partner development. She has an ample knowledge of the Mexican and US business environment.

Caroline has actively supported the efforts of international companies wishing to enter the Mexican market for 20 years. After graduating with a degree in economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, she worked for the Mexican Ministry of Finance and for Bank of America. She then joined the U.S. Commercial Service in Mexico as market research manager and co-created SELECT, a prestigious IT consulting firm. In 1990 she established her own consulting firm, Business Bridges, to support foreign firms in their efforts to enter and expand in the Mexican market. She acted as the Mexico representative for the State of Maryland today represents the interests of the State of the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment Mexico.

During the past two years, her efforts have focused on aquiring in-depth knowledge of the Mexican environmental sectors. She studied two specialized diploma courses on sustainable communities, and design and architecture, and has participated in a diversity of national and international events, including the Holcim Forum in 2010. She has created a new branch of her company, Green Bridges, focused solely on supporting foreign environmental companies do business in Mexico.

Josue Calva, Trade Manager

Josue holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and International Affairs (with a specialty in Commerce and Economics) from the Universidad Iberoamericana. He has attended several courses and seminars on foreign trade and investment provided by the U.S. Commercial Service, the Bank of Foreign Trade (BANCOMEXT), and the National Chamber of Customs Brokers (CAAAREM). He is fluent in both Spanish and English.

His initial work exprience was with Volvo Trucks Mexico offering import management, logistics, market analysis, and customer support services.

He joined Business Bridges in 2007 to provide assistance to international exporting fims wishing to explore the Mexican market. His responsibilities include market research, business partner identification and in-country visit and trade show coordination. Versatile, analytical and hard-working, with a practical hands-on approach, Josue perseveres to achieve the best results. His strengths include an ability to research, find and analyze information, digest facts and figures, and quickly grasp complex technical issues; excellent negotiation and problem solving skills and a capacity to swiftly identify the root of problems and develop an effective solution; and a proven ability to manage and complete projects to the highest standard, with meticulous attention to detail and within agreed deadlines.
